Freezing Weather & Pipe Protection Notice!

During freezing or below-freezing temperatures, it is critical to maintain adequate heat throughout the home to help prevent plumbing pipes from freezing. Interior temperatures should be kept at a minimum of 60°F at all times, including overnight and during periods when the property is unoccupied. Failure to maintain sufficient heat may cause water lines located in exterior walls, basements, crawl spaces, or other unconditioned areas to freeze and burst, resulting in significant water damage. Homeowners are also advised to keep cabinet doors open where plumbing is present, seal drafts near piping, and address any heating system issues promptly. Damage caused by frozen pipes due to inadequate heat is not considered a plumbing failure and is preventable through proper temperature maintenance.
